On December 15th, the grade 5 Students of Walter Duggan Consolidated went into their community to spread some Christmas cheer and visit their local seniors’ apartment. The children donated gifts and the generosity was so overwhelming they were also able to make gift bags as well. During the visit, the students sang Christmas carols, did a raffle draw, had a snack and gave their gifts. With smiles all around, warm hearts and special memories made, they left, with promises for more visits in the new year.  One resident was so moved by the children's visit she came to the school with handmade Santa ornaments for all the students and a card saying, "Each of you are very special and you must appreciate the fantastic teachers at your school. Bless each and everyone one of you and 'Thank you' once again for your kindness."
