Update on Community Use of Facilities

Starting today, CCRCE will begin to increase the use of its facilities. Extra-curricular and community use of schools requires a CCRCE custodian to be on site to open, clean/disinfect and ensure the facility is ready for students to use the next day. 

Booking Requests

Permits are required for all events and activities at schools after 6 pm on weeknights and weekends. Please contact the school to make a booking request for a permit. In general, we ask that booking requests be submitted two weeks in advance for review and approval. We acknowledge that due to the quick reopening of the use of facilities, some existing bookings can continue. Please reach out to your school to confirm details and verify if custodial scheduling allows.

Applicant contact details are to be clearly indicated on the permit. Please note schools are not available for evening use on storm cancellation days. 

Facilities use will be limited to events until 9 pm each night due to the extra time required to disinfect additional high touch areas. Please note, we may need to cancel within short notice of scheduled events due to ongoing custodial staffing challenges.

Guidelines for the use will follow the existing CCRCE policy (OS-G-09) available at OS-G-09 Use of School Facilities. Facility use also must comply with any current Public Health requirements.

Please note:The permit holder is responsible for ensuring that users comply with public health guidelines, including, but not limited to, gathering limits, vaccine records, social distancing, mask compliance, and the number of spectators. At the time of this issue, tournaments or multi-game events are not permitted by Public Health.

Weekend Use

A limited number of schools will initially be available for weekend use due to current staffing challenges.  The schools are listed below. This list may be updated as the region moves through the current pandemic.
