Ms. Chapman's Grade 1/2 class at Elmsdale District Elementary recently completed a unique science project that had them create a life-size level of the popular game Angry Birds. The Grade 1 students were learning about constructing objects and were responsible for designing, building and maintaining the materials in the tower. The Grade 2 students were learning about movement and had to make and measure their projectiles (birds) and record the movement of the projectiles from the slingshot. Everyone learned about angles, force and aim by using the slingshot. It was tons of fun and great hands-on physics!
