Students and staff at Rawdon District School took ‘A Trip Around the World’ in a day to celebrate and learn more about the diverse cultures across the globe.

Students used passports as they made their way to different countries around the school. At each stop, students had the opportunity to try out new delicacies and traditions specific to that country.

Students danced and sang while visiting Ireland, made red Chinese envelopes and attempted to use chopsticks while in China, designed Kente cloths and played djembe drums in Africa, made origami and listened to the didgeridoo in Australia, took part in the Highland Games in Scotland and ate cheese and grapes in France.

What a wonderful way to celebrate diversity and learning!
