Learning At Home

CCRCE News:
Wednesday, April 1, 2020

Welcome! The links below will connect you to the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development's learning and curriculum websites for students, families, and teachers.

On March 30, 2020, Premier Stephen McNeil announced that all public schools will remain closed until at least May 1, 2020, as part of Nova Scotia's COVID-19 prevention measures. A Learning Continuity Plan was also released to our schools to help support student learning at home during the closure.

Teachers and school administrators are checking in with families this week. Please reach out to your child’s teachers or administrators if you have questions about your child's education.

We know this is an exceptional time for families. Teachers are beginning to work on learning plans and, beginning April 8, paper learning packages for grades P-9 will be delivered along with weekly store flyers. If you DO NOT currently receive flyers & want to activate delivery, please contact Saltwire Network:

These learning plans, packages and supports are here to help you, not to add more if your plate is already full. If you feel that adding student learning to your family's situation is challenging right now, please let your child's teacher know. No child will be disadvantaged because of COVID-19. Next year, our teachers and staff will work with students to identify and address any learning gaps.

Also, please know that supports, such as SchoolsPlus, are available to help direct you to resources in the community.

Please continue to check www.ccrce.ca for the recent updates.
