Eight students from River Hebert District High School and Amherst Regional High School recently travelled to Saint Mary’s University to compete in the inaugural Brain War!

Created by the Discovery Centre, teams are given six hours to complete 25 short tasks and fivelong tasks designed to test their smarts in every way: focus, mental agility, memory, emotional quotient, creativity, endurance, and logic. RHDH and ARHS competed against 13 high school teams, 15 university teams, & 15 corporate teams. Brain War is based on the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) areas of study, and including the arts as a testing component (STEAM). Brain War is an ambitious, challenging competition designed to engage our region in a battle of the best minds to test not only their knowledge but their endurance.
