As part of a layered COVID-19 response and at the guidance of Public Health, a thorough review of all ventilation systems was performed to ensure all CCRCE schools have well-maintained ventilation systems operating as designed before the start of school in September 2020. Ventilation checks can include filter maintenance, lubrication, electrical and controls, and operable windows. Much of this work was regular preventative maintenance.
Ventilation checks are part of the Provincial Back to School Plan and were one of the several public health safety measures that have contributed to a successful year to date with our students learning in-class and in-person.
Our regular scheduled preventative checks will continue through the year. Please click the link below to view the ventilation reporting summary.
Please note: We’ve updated our ventilation reports to reflect current status of school ventilation systems. A small number of schools were previously miscategorized. All ventilation systems have been maintained and inspected. (January 14, 2022)
