Museum of Industry
Students at Bible Hill East Court Road School from Grades Primary and One visited the Museum of Industry in Stellarton. Students learned about different modes of transportation and how transportation has evolved over time. The focus of the visit was on the different parts of trains and how they work. The highlight for the students was when they decorated wooden train whistles and got to bring them home as a memento of their fieldtrip. It was a great way of connecting curriculum outcomes in Social Studies to an authentic hands-on experience. They even had a bit of time to take some fun pictures!
